School Culture and Expectations

Rosemont Elementary describes its community as “mindful” and highlights five guiding values: Caring, Commitment to Learning, Creativity, Common Sense, and Calm. The school says these values support students in embracing challenge and change, building mutual respect and responsibility, and caring for the world. The district also states an acknowledgment that it “acknowledge[s], respect[s] and honour[s] the First Nations in whose traditional territories” the district operates and all Aboriginal people within SD8 boundaries.

Transportation, Parking, and Getting Here

The district provides student transportation information including online student bus registration, route information, bus passes, and winter routes. SD8’s bus code of conduct emphasizes safe, respectful behaviour, including arriving at stops at least five minutes early, remaining seated while the bus is moving, and following safe road-crossing procedures in front of the bus only on the driver’s signal. The code also notes that principals may discipline misbehaviour on buses and that drivers have authority on their bus.

Enrollment

For StrongStart (ages 0–5), families are directed to register via the district StrongStart registration link. If families have difficulty registering, they are instructed to email Rosemont Elementary for help.
