Support focuses on oral language (listening/speaking), academic reading and writing, vocabulary development, and pride in students’ home culture while building understanding of Canadian culture. Student transportation (school bus) The district provides courtesy bussing, free of charge, for eligible students who live beyond walking limits to their nearest public school (K–3: more than 4 km; Grades 4–12: more than 4.8 km), as well as for students living on reserve or requiring accessible transportation (special needs bussing). Eligible riders must apply online for a bus pass each school year, and bus passes are scanned when boarding. School meals (Hot Lunch) Quadra Elementary provides a way for families to place a Hot Lunch order through the school website.

Transportation, Parking, and Getting Here

The district provides courtesy school bus transportation, free of charge, for eligible students who live beyond walking limits (K–3: more than 4 km; Grades 4–12: more than 4.8 km), for students living on reserve, and for students who require accessible transportation (special needs bussing). Families who need transportation must apply online for a bus pass each school year; students scan their pass when boarding. Students are expected to be at the bus stop at least 5 minutes before the normal pick-up time, and families are responsible for children’s behaviour and safety at bus stops.
