Programs and Services

StrongStart (Early Years) Ucluelet Elementary hosts a StrongStart program as part of the district’s Early Years programming, with a StrongStart Educator supporting inclusive early learning environments for children and families. School transportation (exploratory) The district is exploring before/after school bus transportation for children who attend (or are waitlisted for) licensed school-age care programs operated by non-profit partners on school grounds, to help families access care when local sites are full.

Transportation, Parking, and Getting Here

The school notes updated signage in school zones and that parking is not available in front of the school zone Monday to Friday to support safe arrival and drop-off. Families are asked not to park in these areas during weekday drop-off and pick-up windows (8:15–8:45 a.m. and 1:30–3:00 p.m.).

Enrollment

The school posts registration guidance noting that schools accept registrations annually starting February 1 and that required documentation includes proof of age and proof of residence (needed to determine grade placement, funding, and catchment area). For Kindergarten, families are asked to register at their neighbourhood catchment school; registration forms are available online or in person, and completed forms can be emailed or dropped off with a birth certificate, Care Card, and proof of address. The district also invites families to complete an “All About Me” form to support a smooth transition into Kindergarten.
