Student support / family support The Tumbler Ridge Family Support Program provides flexible services to families connected to Tumbler Ridge Secondary School (and Tumbler Ridge Elementary), in partnership with the school and community agencies. Supports include individual service planning, help with conflict/crisis management, goal-focused plans, parenting education/programming, advocacy, and connecting families to community resources. Families can contact the school to access the program. Mental health support The school/district notes that, following a community tragedy, a space at the Tumbler Ridge Community Centre has been made available for the school community to connect, with mental health professionals present to provide support. Career education / trades exposure The district announced a Mobile Trades Training Unit arriving for Tumbler Ridge Secondary School for the remainder of the school year. Extracurricular activities and student groups The school notes that students can access extracurricular opportunities including athletics, Student Voice, and the GSA, and that all students are welcome to participate in school clubs.
