Programs and Services

Student support / special education ACP is a Type 3 Ministry-designated facility and requires each student to have a personalized Student Learning Plan reviewed annually, with documentation such as a strength-based profile, goals (core competency, curricular, transition), progress reviews, and (as needed) behaviour support planning. The school notes it has two counsellors on staff and two district clinicians who support part-time, along with increased Youth Care Worker support. Enrollment

Referrals to ACP are made through a student’s home school. If a student is not currently registered, they must register at their catchment school first (unless they have been out of school for more than 1 year and have an outside agency supporting the referral). Prior to acceptance, information is gathered from the previous school/education facility, caregivers, and community agencies and reviewed by a District Learner Support screening committee to determine placement.
