Programs and Services

Outdoor / experiential learning (E3 & LEAD) CMA emphasizes learning beyond the classroom through its Enriched Experiential Education (E3) program, which includes on- and off-campus learning experiences. All students participate in LEAD (Leadership Expeditions for Academic Discovery), described as annual multi-day outdoor trips designed to build skills, character, confidence, and resilience. Student support / counselling and guidance Personal counselling is available to all students, using a strengths-based and solution-oriented approach. Support areas include mental health coping strategies, study and organizational skills, self-confidence, mindfulness, resiliency, and addressing bullying/positive school culture. The school also offers post-secondary counselling, including course planning, career exploration, university/career pathways support, university tours, and opportunities such as a Work Placement Program. Athletics and extracurricular sports Current CMA teams include: Clubs and leadership CMA offers a house system (Elaho, Sky Pilot, Tantalus, Skookum) to build school pride, peer relationships, and leadership through a year-long points competition. Student Council is student-elected, meets outside of class time, and helps share student ideas and organize activities (including theme days and monthly gatherings). Listed clubs include Service Club, Math Club, ModelUN Club, Yearbook Club, Dungeons & Dragons Club, Warhammer Club, and Remote Control Car Club. Learning support CMA lists Learning Support Teachers as part of its team.

CMA describes a dedicated neighbourhood bus service serving Whistler and Squamish families, intended to make the commute “simple, safe, and stress-free.” The admissions page also lists optional Squamish and Whistler bus services (with service noted for areas including Brackendale, Garibaldi Estates, and Whistler).

Enrollment

CMA invites families to “Discover CMA” through events such as Open Houses, online Coffee Talks, and campus tours, and encourages contacting the admissions office with questions. Admissions offers are based on the strength of the application, available space, cohort composition, references, and recommendations (with sibling priority if requirements are met). Applications are submitted online via the school’s MyCMA portal, with required documents (e.g., identification, proof of BC residency, report cards; IEPs/assessments if applicable) and an application fee; shortlisted applicants may be invited for an admissions interview. CMA also offers need-based bursaries (financial aid) and notes an International Student Program requiring additional steps (including proof of English proficiency and a student visa).
