Outdoor / experiential learning (E3 & LEAD) CMA emphasizes learning beyond the classroom through its Enriched Experiential Education (E3) program, which includes on- and off-campus learning experiences. All students participate in LEAD (Leadership Expeditions for Academic Discovery), described as annual multi-day outdoor trips designed to build skills, character, confidence, and resilience. Student support / counselling and guidance Personal counselling is available to all students, using a strengths-based and solution-oriented approach. Support areas include mental health coping strategies, study and organizational skills, self-confidence, mindfulness, resiliency, and addressing bullying/positive school culture. The school also offers post-secondary counselling, including course planning, career exploration, university/career pathways support, university tours, and opportunities such as a Work Placement Program. Athletics and extracurricular sports Current CMA teams include: Clubs and leadership CMA offers a house system (Elaho, Sky Pilot, Tantalus, Skookum) to build school pride, peer relationships, and leadership through a year-long points competition. Student Council is student-elected, meets outside of class time, and helps share student ideas and organize activities (including theme days and monthly gatherings). Listed clubs include Service Club, Math Club, ModelUN Club, Yearbook Club, Dungeons & Dragons Club, Warhammer Club, and Remote Control Car Club.
