French Immersion (Early and Late) École Pauline Johnson provides Early French Immersion (Kindergarten–Grade 7) and Late French Immersion (starting in Grade 6) in a “single-track” setting, with the goal of developing functional bilingualism for students whose dominant language is not French. Student support / English Language Learner (ELL) support The school links families to West Vancouver Schools’ ELL Support information and a district brochure, and provides district contacts for current information about ELL programs and services. Sports / Physical literacy The school encourages students in all grades to participate in physical literacy through multiple contexts, including Physical and Health Education, action breaks, outdoor education programs, intramurals, and school-wide athletics. Athletics and extracurricular sports Library The school has a library, with a dedicated page linking families to “Library/La bibliothèque.” Child care / before-and-after school care and preschool PJ Kids Club (a non-profit on the school grounds) offers before- and after-school programs and a French-enriched “Petite PJ” preschool program, and also hosts spring and summer break camps. A separate “Playschool” (Pauline Johnson Preschool) is also associated with the school and operates out of a portable on the east side of the school. Enrollment

For entering Early French Immersion after Grade 1, families are directed to contact the school principal for guidance on admission.
