International Baccalaureate (IB) / Primary Years Programme (PYP) Norgate Xwemélch'stn Community Elementary is an authorized IB World School offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), which focuses on developing the whole child as an inquirer within and beyond the classroom. Music / Band and Strings The North Vancouver School District offers an Elementary Band & Strings Program that provides school-based instrumental instruction for intermediate students (Grades 5–7 for Band and Grades 4–7 for Strings). Student support / counselling The school provides a “Counsellors Corner” and links families to district information about Social Emotional Learning and mental health.
