**Library** The school library’s mission is to promote and support literacy and a love of reading, while also developing students’ information fluency so they can access, evaluate, and use information effectively and ethically. **Technology** The school’s goal is to help students develop the knowledge, attitude, and skills needed to become computer literate. **Lunch program / nutrition** The PAC organizes monthly Hot Lunches, Treat Days, and Pizza Days, using an online ordering system (Munchalunch). The school also participates in the BC School Fruit and Vegetable Nutrition Program, providing fresh B.C. produce to students during classroom time every couple of weeks. **Student support / special education** Student Services include counselling (social, emotional, and academic support), E.A.L., gifted programming, Learning Assistance (for mild to moderate learning difficulties), Learning Resource support (including adaptations/modifications), and a Skill Development Program for low-incidence special needs (including IEP development and instruction). **Athletics and extracurricular sports** The school’s sports programs aim to build positive attitudes toward physical activity and encourage healthy health and fitness choices. **Clubs and extracurricular activities** Blakeburn offers clubs and activities to help students build friendships and a sense of belonging, including SWATZ, Intramurals, Peace Squad, and Garden Club, plus after-school options such as Beyond the Bell, Cinekids, and Bricks for Kids.
