Programs and Services

Student support / special education Riverview Park’s student services team includes teachers, support staff, counsellors, and administrators who develop strategies and programs for students with special learning needs and connect students to district services when needed. Available supports include EAL, Gifted programming, Learning Assistance, a Learning Resource Program (including adaptations/modifications), a Skill Development Program for low-incidence needs (including IEP development), and Speech and Language Support (SLP on Thursdays). The school also has a counselling program that supports students’ social, emotional, developmental, and academic needs, including classroom support, small groups, individual support, crisis response, and parent consultation (counsellor on Tuesdays and Fridays). Library The school library is accessed through Destiny. Lunch Program The lunch program notes that the school does not guarantee a nut-free environment and that breads and baked goods may contain traces of nuts; substitutions are not available.
