Sports / Athletics Pleasantside’s sports programs emphasize physical activity as an important part of students’ lives, supporting health, concentration, self-esteem, and positive attitudes toward a wide range of physical activities. Clubs / Extracurricular activities The school offers extracurricular club opportunities to help students make new friends and develop a sense of belonging; students receive information about specific clubs through their teachers. Library Each class visits the library weekly for 45 minutes, where students hear a story and borrow a library book. Student support / special education Student Services include counselling (social, emotional, and academic support), ESL, gifted programming, Learning Assistance (for mild to moderate learning difficulties), a Learning Resource Program (adaptations/modifications to curriculum), and a Skill Development Program (low-incidence special needs, including IEP development and instruction).
