Student support / counselling Meadowbrook has a school counsellor (Ms. Shannon Macalister) on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and she facilitates many programs in the school. Library / literacy support The school library offers an extensive collection for borrowing (students are encouraged to sign out two books weekly). The library promotes literacy, a love of reading, and information literacy skills to help students become independent lifelong learners. Clubs and activities A basketball club is offered for Grade 4 and 5 students, organized into house teams and played over lunch on Thursdays and Fridays. Parent volunteers are welcomed to help supervise and referee. Early learning (StrongStart) StrongStart is a free, drop-in early learning program for children from birth to age five, led by qualified early childhood educators. It provides play-based activities (including stories, music, and art) designed to support early development and help prepare children for Kindergarten.
