Support focuses on social, emotional, and developmental needs, and includes crisis response, parent and staff consultation, and teacher in-service. **Library** Each class has weekly library time to borrow books and learn literacy skills with the teacher-librarian. The library uses an automated system for overdue notices, and borrowing may be paused until overdue items are returned or fines are paid. **Athletics and extracurricular sports** **Clubs** Eco Kids is run at lunch by the noon hour supervisor. Students help keep the playground and forest free of litter and are recognized at the end of the year. **Early learning (StrongStart BC – nearby)** StrongStart BC is a free, drop-in early learning program for children ages 0–5 with a parent/caregiver. The closest StrongStart is located at Mundy Road Elementary School and is facilitated by a qualified early childhood educator in a play-based environment (e.g., stories, music, dramatic play, art) to support children’s development and readiness for kindergarten.
