Programs and Services

Student support / special education Fawkes Academy provides individualized programming guided by the BC Ministry of Education K–12 curriculum and delivered through an Individual Education Plan (IEP), with programs adapted or modified to student needs. Students are supported by qualified staff including certified teachers with special education experience, Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs), interventionists trained in applied behaviour analysis (ABA), counsellors, and speech and language pathologists. The school encourages families to pair academic instruction with therapeutic services (such as Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Kinesiology) and collaborates with outside providers (e.g., SLP, OT, kinesiologist, BCBA) to support IEP goals.

Fawkes Academy emphasizes that every child is unique, valued, and able to learn, and it describes its approach as using effective, scientifically validated instruction and behaviour management to support student success. Enrollment

Admissions begin by submitting the downloadable Fawkes Intake Form, followed by an intake meeting with the Admissions Manager (and a tour, if desired). Campus-based applicants typically participate in trial sessions with the clinical team (teacher, BCBA, counsellor), and the clinical team provides final approval of enrollment. The school also offers an online learning pathway, where the next step is determining availability on the wait list for an online teacher.
