Food program The school lists a “Fuel Up! Lunch Program” as a family resource/quick link.

School Culture and Expectations

EGMS’ code of conduct is grounded in the BC Human Rights Code and prohibits discrimination on protected grounds. The school expectation is a safe, caring, orderly environment that supports learning, with students asked to show kindness, respect, honesty, and a commitment to safety and success. EGMS uses a preventative and restorative approach to discipline where possible, considering student needs and circumstances. Personal digital devices are restricted during instructional time (with limited exemptions for learning needs, IEP/PLP, or medical/health reasons).

Transportation, Parking, and Getting Here

Visitors (including parents) must enter through the front door on Park Crescent, check in at the office, and wear a Visitor ID badge; other doors are kept locked during the school day. Students should be dropped off and picked up at the front of the school on Park Crescent or on the south side on Jack Mahoney Place; parking is limited in these areas. Families are asked not to drop students off in the crosswalk. The campus is secure and closed during the day, and students must remain on site unless they have permission to leave (with specific sign-out requirements at lunch).

Enrollment

Families are directed to the district registration page for up-to-date registration dates, deadlines, and instructions. To register (including during the school year), families book an appointment with the district registration team, bring completed forms and required paperwork, and can request a translator if needed. Placement is based on space availability and catchment; out-of-catchment/transfer options are limited when schools are full, and lottery processes may be used when demand exceeds space.
