The school emphasizes high expectations and educating the “whole child” (academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth) within a Christ-centred foundation. Its mission includes teaching children to be kind, generous, and diligent, and to respect everyone in society “without exception,” while developing responsible citizenship through self-discipline, a positive self-concept, and sensitivity toward others. Families are encouraged to participate fully in the school’s faith community, and the school has a required Parent Participation Program (with an option to opt out through a fee).
Admissions follow CISVA Policy No. 401 priority, with preference given to siblings and children from practicing Catholic families active in St. Augustine Parish, followed by practicing Catholics active in other parishes, then other applicants. Prospective students and parents meet with the principal to discuss school policies, expectations, and philosophy; parents are asked to sign an agreement to support school-sponsored activities and religious programs and liturgies. Families can call or email to be placed on a waiting list (which is not carried over year to year), and accepted families complete registration by returning required documents and paying fees/tuition as directed by the school.
