Student support / special education VSB describes a range of learning support programs and services to support students’ educational, personal, social, and emotional development, from inclusive classrooms to smaller self-contained settings. Supports are coordinated with school teams, families, and community partners. Referrals to VSB Learning Support Programs are made through the School-Based Team at a student’s school. Behaviour / social-emotional supports VSB lists behaviour and social-emotional learning supports, including Social Emotional Learning Centre (SELC) supports for elementary students (a short-term, part-time opportunity to build skills such as self-regulation, social skills, executive functioning, and self-advocacy).
