School bus transportation (District service) Richmond School District provides school bus transportation for eligible students and limited courtesy riders, based on distance from the catchment school and Board Policy 520. Families apply online, and schedules are emailed about a week before school starts in September. Early learning (District programs) The district offers free early learning programs for children from birth to age five, including StrongStart BC (children attend with a parent/caregiver).
