School bus transportation (District service) Richmond School District provides school bus transportation for eligible students and limited courtesy riders, based on distance from the catchment school and Board Policy 520. Families apply online, and schedules are emailed about a week before school starts in September. Early learning (District programs) The district offers free early learning programs for children from birth to age five, including StrongStart BC (children attend with a parent/caregiver). The district also maintains a directory of licensed child care operators located on school grounds. International Education (District program) Richmond International Education offers long-term and short-term programs for international students across the district and notes that schools provide English Language Learning (ELL) support as part of these offerings.

Transportation, Parking, and Getting Here

Richmond School District provides school bus transportation for eligible students and limited courtesy riders. Eligibility is based on distance from the student’s catchment school (K–3: more than 4.0 km; Grades 4–12: more than 4.8 km), and some students with disabilities/diverse abilities may qualify for transportation assistance. Families apply online; bus schedules are emailed one week before school starts in September.
