Transportation (school bus) Richmond School District provides school bus transportation for eligible students and limited courtesy riders, following Board Policy 520. Eligibility is based on distance from the catchment school (K–3: more than 4.0 km; Grades 4–12: more than 4.8 km), and some students with disabilities/diverse abilities may qualify for transportation assistance. Early learning (district programs) Richmond School District offers free early learning opportunities for families with children aged birth to five, emphasizing oral language and play-based learning. StrongStart BC is a free program for children aged 0–5 that children attend with a parent/caregiver; families book sessions at district StrongStart centres.
