Early learning (district programs) Richmond School District offers early learning programs for children from birth to age five, emphasizing oral language and play-based learning. StrongStart BC is a free early learning program for children aged 0–5 that children attend with a parent/caregiver, led by ECE-trained district staff. Transportation (district) Richmond School District provides school bus transportation for eligible students and limited courtesy riders, with eligibility based on distance from the catchment school and additional consideration for some students with disabilities/diverse abilities. Families apply online through the district transportation page, and schedules are emailed to families one week before school starts in September.
