Student support / special education Surrey School District’s Student Support team works with school teams, families, and community partners to create inclusive, equitable, and caring learning communities, with a focus on supporting students with exceptional learning needs. Supports include helping coordinate specialized services for students with individual needs, supporting effective educational planning, and providing professional learning and resources to school teams. Clubs / sports / extra-curricular Maddaugh students are invited to participate in a variety of activities throughout the school year, including school-based activities and events (meets, games, or play days) with other Surrey schools. The school notes appreciation for support from coaches, teachers, volunteers, parents, and drivers.

School Culture and Expectations

Maddaugh’s code of conduct centers on the goals “Work Hard, Be Kind, Be Your Best You,” and outlines shared rights (to be safe, to learn, to be heard, and to be valued) and responsibilities (including listening, respecting others’ rights, speaking up for help, and contributing to a caring school culture). Enrollment

Surrey School District directs families to register online for kindergarten and to consult the district website for required registration documents and to confirm catchment school boundaries. Families interested in district Programs of Choice are instructed to first register at their local catchment school and then apply through the district’s online lottery application process.
