Student support / inclusive education Surrey Schools’ Student Support team works with school teams, families, and community partners to create supportive, inclusive, and caring learning communities for students, including those with exceptional learning needs. Supports span early learning through Grade 12 and include coordinating specialized supports, helping with educational planning, and providing human and learning resources to schools. Clubs, sports & extra-curricular M B Sanford invites students to participate in a variety of activities throughout the school year, including school-based activities and events with other Surrey schools (such as meets, games, or play days).
Surrey Schools’ Student Support services emphasize inclusive, equitable, and meaningful educational experiences for all students, with a focus on embracing diversity and building supportive, caring learning communities. The district also highlights the importance of collaboration among educators and early, least-intrusive intervention to support learners.
Kindergarten registration is completed online through Surrey Schools. Families register at their local catchment school, and the district provides document requirements, a “find my school” tool, and a School Registration page for more details. Families interested in a district “Program of Choice” are directed to first register at their catchment school and then apply through the online kindergarten lottery during the district’s application window.
