After-school programs (Surrey Community-Schools Partnership) James Ardiel offers several structured (non drop-in) after-school programs in partnership with the Surrey Community-Schools Partnership, with registration at the beginning of each term. Offerings listed for Fall 2024 include Empower Media (Grade 5; digital literacy and responsible digital citizenship), Canucks for Kids (Grades 6/7; floor and street hockey skills plus leadership/character development), and BLAST Senior (Grades 6/7; activities supporting physical literacy, healthy living, and social-emotional skills). Athletics and extracurricular sports - Floor/street hockey (Canucks for Kids program) Student support / inclusive education Surrey Schools’ Student Support (Inclusive Education) team describes districtwide services designed to create supportive, inclusive, and caring learning communities, especially for students with exceptional learning needs. Supports include coordinating specialized supports, helping school teams with educational planning, and providing professional learning and resources (spanning early learning through Grade 12).
