Student support / counselling (Secondary) Counselling support is available for students struggling with anxiety, depression, and/or stressors related to family, school, and friends. Students may self-refer (or be referred by family or staff), and support may be provided one-on-one, in groups, or with a trusted adult; initial support may include 6–8 sessions and/or additional school-team and external agency follow-up. Athletics and extracurricular sports (ACS Knights) Transportation (bus and shuttle) ACS operates its own busing system for travel to/from school and offers shuttle buses between campuses. The fleet includes multiple routes and a bus equipped with a wheelchair lift; pick-up times/locations are emailed to families, and students are expected to follow bus behaviour expectations to keep riding privileges.
ACS emphasizes an environment that is challenging, open, and courageous, integrating a Christian worldview throughout learning. The school’s mission and values highlight belonging and safety, and a culture of grace, dignity, respect, and truth. Core beliefs include truth, respect, excellence, service, stewardship, and celebration; athletics also emphasizes teamwork and character development grounded in a Christian worldview.
ACS operates its own busing system to transport students to and from school and provides shuttle service between campuses for current/registered families who sign up in advance. Bus stop pick-up times and locations are emailed in late August, and families can request transportation during the application process (or by contacting the transportation coordinator). Students must maintain proper bus behaviour to keep transportation privileges.
K–12 admissions begin with an online inquiry form; families who are actively involved in a Bible-based Christian church are invited to inquire, after which the admissions coordinator contacts them to explain next steps. After the application fee is paid, the school creates an online application package; new K–12 students have assessment appointments, and principals make final acceptance decisions. International students follow a separate process that includes an inquiry, an application fee, required documentation (e.g., passport and report cards translated into English), an English assessment for Grades 9–12, and a Zoom interview.
