Athletics and extracurricular sports Physical Education (indoor & outdoor) MEI emphasizes whole-student development through physical education, focusing on the social, mental, and physical benefits of activity and caring for the body “that God has given.” Beginning in Grade 2, students also participate in a variety of outdoor activities as part of the PE curriculum. MEI Hockey Academy The MEI Hockey Academy provides high-performance training alongside Christian values-based character development, with the goal of preparing students for the challenges of school, athletics, and post-secondary life. Agriculture MEI runs an agricultural initiative across its schools, including a greenhouse and garden. Students participate in growing flowers and vegetables, with agriculture- and sustainability-specific courses offered at the Middle and Secondary levels, and some produce directed to community causes and charities. Exploratory & Applied Skills (ADST) MEI Middle offers exploratory and elective courses (including Info-Tech and Tech-Ed and a Leadership/Service exploratory for Grades 7 and 8). MEI Secondary offers applied skills and technology courses such as Computer Technology, Woodworking, Home Economics, Family Studies, and Drafting. Student resources / support MEI states it provides student support tools to help students be prepared and have a positive educational experience, including support for academic or personal issues.
