School Culture and Expectations

The school’s mission is to develop students who are Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn. The school emphasizes a safe, secure, and productive learning environment where a student’s right to learn and a teacher’s right to teach are protected. Students are reminded of shared rights (to learn, be safe, and be respected) and responsibilities (be respectful to others and use common sense). A Code of Conduct is taught early in September and reinforced throughout the year to help maintain a safe, caring, and orderly place to learn.

Transportation, Parking, and Getting Here

Morning supervision starts at 8:05 am, and families are asked not to drop students off before that time. Afternoon supervision ends at 2:30 pm. For attendance safety, the district uses the SafeArrival system so families can report absences by app, website, or a toll-free phone number.

Enrollment

Families can register online at any time (including over the summer). Registration requires a valid email address plus uploads of the child’s birth certificate and proof of residency; families can also find more information via the SD33 Registration page or email ereg@sd33.bc.ca.
