Athletics and extracurricular sports Student support / special education St. Joseph School has a Coordinator of Student Services overseeing programs for students with special medical and/or learning needs (both ministry-funded and not funded). The school offers Learning Assistance (remediation, learning strategies, and compensatory skills) and Specific Skill Development (short-term, small-group direct instruction for students behind in reading, writing, or math). Enrichment is available for students needing additional challenge beyond the regular BC Ministry of Education school program, and counselling support is available through a teacher for students, parents, and teachers.
The school notes that it serves as a pick up/drop off point for the Big White After School Program in January.
Applications for student enrolment may be submitted at any time; because space is limited, families are encouraged to register as far in advance as possible.
