**Athletics and extracurricular sports** **Student support / counselling** VCS offers school counselling support for students in Grades K–6 and Grades 7–12. Counsellors support students’ academic, emotional, and social needs and may provide guidance lessons on topics such as personal safety, social-emotional learning (SEL), substance awareness, and mental health wellness; referrals to outside counselling may be recommended when helpful. **International Program** The VCS International Program is designed to create opportunities for friendships and mission-based activities around the world, helping students and families gain new perspectives, learn from different cultures, and grow in awareness of global interconnectedness and Christian faith. A homestay host-family program is also offered.
VCS presents itself as a Christ-centred community that aims to shape both character and learning, emphasizing discipleship, service, and a biblical worldview. The school highlights community life where students learn, serve, celebrate, and “struggle together,” and states that teachers are committed to knowing, caring for, and praying for students. The secondary program notes that stricter behaviour standards and high academic expectations support student success, and that students are encouraged to discover their identity in Christ and their role in God’s kingdom.
The school notes that busing is available (mentioned as part of secondary campus offerings), but specific transportation, drop-off/pick-up, or parking procedures are not provided in the sources.
Families are invited to begin by submitting an online enrolment/admissions inquiry; the admissions coordinator will contact you after you inquire, and families can also request a tour. Applications are accepted year-round for new enrolment (space can be limited), and the school lists factors it uses to assess capacity (such as class size, sibling priority, staffing model, and student support needs). VCS also notes that literacy assessments (DIBELS) are part of the admissions process to understand students’ literacy skills and support placement and transition. For international program information and tuition fees, families are directed to contact admissions@vcs.ca.
